You may be surprised to know of my collaborations with TV painting guru, Bob Ross. He of the Grand Funk Railroad fro. In fact it would be a surprise to Bob too, as we never met and he has passed on.

I received a book of his paintings at a “White Elephant” gift exchange. When I started paging through I thought,”I wonder what my characters would look like in these environments?” So here are a few of the results of our “collaboration”…

“There are no mistakes, only happy accidents.”

    • Thanks Tom. I always thought of Bob as a video/tv sedative. His calming voice, “Let’s put an almighty mountian here. Mix a little thalo blue and titanium white…” And he would “coush” his brush against the canvas. It was hypnotically relaxing.

“Maybe this little brook is just trickling along. Making friends with the trees and woodland creatures along it’s banks.”
